Common cargo

Built around the shipment, not a parcel tariff.

  • Network switches, routers and line cards
  • Server, storage and optical-network parts
  • UPS modules, rack PDUs and power components
  • Fibre, transceivers, test equipment and field-replaceable units

Before we quote

We check the details that change cost and handling.

  • Battery chemistry, configuration and rating
  • Manufacturer, model, serial number and unit value
  • Destination import, telecom or encryption requirements where applicable
  • Anti-static, shock and tamper protection for high-value equipment

The buying situation

When this cargo becomes urgent

Redundancy is reduced, a network element has failed or the cargo must arrive before a controlled cutover or commissioning window.

Air transport rules for lithium batteries depend on the battery type and configuration. Identify batteries before collection so the shipment can be classified, packed, marked and documented for the proposed service.

Documents and evidence

Prepare these before collection.

  • Commercial invoice and serialised packing list
  • Battery test summary or safety information when applicable
  • Repair, warranty or temporary-export paperwork where relevant
  • Any destination permit or importer approval identified by the consignee

Senior freight check

Air freight uses chargeable weight.

The carrier normally charges the higher of actual and volumetric weight. Dense machinery, long pieces and oversized crates also need aircraft-fit and handling checks before confirmation.

Share the packed dimensions for every piece, plus photos or drawings where the shape or lifting method is unusual.

Battery acceptance

Identify batteries before the shipment is booked.

Equipment with lithium batteries may need classification, packing, marks, labels and documents specific to its configuration. Airline restrictions can also be more limiting than the general rules. See the current IATA battery guidance, then send the battery details for route-level acceptance.
