Why the answer changes by item and country
Three sets of rules apply at the same time: UAE export controls, the courier’s acceptance rules and the destination country’s import rules. A product can be legal to own in Dubai but still be refused by an airline or restricted at the destination.
Dubai Customs separates prohibited goods from restricted goods that need approval from the relevant authority. Air shipments also follow dangerous-goods rules for items such as flammable liquids, aerosols and lithium batteries. That is why a product photo, ingredient list, battery specification or safety data sheet may be needed before a reliable answer is possible.
Use the right service
Our UAE package-forwarding service does not accept perfume, food, perishables or dangerous goods. A direct courier or approved dangerous-goods service is assessed separately. Approval for one service must not be assumed to apply to another.

For current rules, check Dubai Customs prohibited and restricted goods, the destination authority and the carrier’s written acceptance. For air-safety classifications, see the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
