The buying situation

Senior freight check
The carrier normally charges the higher of actual and volumetric weight. Dense machinery, long pieces and oversized crates also need aircraft-fit and handling checks before confirmation.
Share the packed dimensions for every piece, plus photos or drawings where the shape or lifting method is unusual.
Air-cargo acceptance
Do not assume drained or cleaned equipment is automatically general cargo. Provide the previous use, cleaning status and details of batteries, cylinders, chemicals or other regulated contents so the proposed shipment can be assessed. Review current IATA dangerous-goods guidance.
