Sending a gift the easy way

Many ordinary gifts can travel by courier, but the contents still decide whether the parcel is accepted. We do not accept perfume, gold jewellery or high-value watches. Food is controlled by the destination and needs a separate pre-check. Send us a complete item list before booking.

Gifts and customs duty

Gift treatment differs by country, and marking a parcel as a gift does not guarantee duty-free entry. Keep the value honest and check the destination rules. If you are sending to India, read our India gift customs guide before booking.

If your gift is above the threshold, the receiver may pay a little duty on arrival. If you would rather cover it yourself so they are not surprised, we can ship it duty-paid — just ask.

Can I send a gift from Dubai to another country?
Many ordinary gifts can be shipped, but calling an item a gift does not override customs, dangerous-goods or value restrictions. Tell us every item, quantity, value and destination before booking.
Will my gift be charged customs duty?
Many countries give a small duty-free allowance for genuine gifts, but the threshold is usually low and commercial shipments do not qualify. Mark it as a gift and keep the value honest; above the threshold the receiver may pay a little duty.
Can I send perfume as a gift from Dubai?
Not with our service. Alcohol-based perfume is dangerous goods for air transport, and we do not offer the required dangerous-goods service. The word gift does not change that classification.
How do I make sure a gift arrives in time for Eid or a birthday?
Book pickup a few days early, especially around Eid and Christmas when volumes are high. Use express service for time-sensitive gifts and we will give you a tracking number to follow it.
How much does it cost to send a gift from Dubai?
